Afternoon tea receptions was originated from the British upper class, with hot sips of tea accompanied by a light meal of sandwiches, scones and cake. However, when introduced to France – the “queen” of the world’s pastry industry, these sandwiches and scones were replaced by colorful Macarons, creamy Éclairs or cinnamon-filled Apple Pie, creating a perfect and sophisticated culinary combination.
